ELEPHANT’S MEMORY COMPETITION

Dear Parents,

Because memory is a great challenge in our century, elephant’s memory cannot exist without the active contribution of our children : tomorrow ‘s actors.

This is how I had the idea of a competition of children : To hand on the baton , to give a potential tool of artistic expression.
Having decorated one thousand elephants myself with numerous symbols of the world’s memory, I suggest this empty shape so that every child can put
their own memory of beauty in it : what he or she finds moving, attractive or dreamlike. So he or she will draw or stick inside the elephant.
Therefore, using their imagination, children will take part in a project which calls up memory , because this memory , their memory is also ours.

Dear Friends,

I designed a thousand elephants in which I put all the things I like. Now , it is your turn to fill in this elephant with one of your most beautiful memories, something you have seen, read,
or just dreamed of.
You can use words, pictures, drawings or collages.
All the elephants that will be made by children of your age will be seen by a jury of artists who will choose the most beautiful (may be yours).

Quick ! Take your pencils and brushes !

Jacques Charrier.

Chers Parents,

Concours
